The Committee’s scope includes all matters pertaining to international space community workforce development.  The Committee will focus on early career professionals in the science and engineering as well as policy fields of endeavor. 

The Committee will encourage career development directed toward creating a globally informed space community in space agencies and in industry.

The Committee will also provide overall guidance on the Young Professionals Program (YPP) conducted at the annual International Astronautical Congress (IAC, in both content and organization.  In this regard the committee may establish a subcommittee to focus on the organization of the IAC YPP and provide continuity from one year to the next.

The Committee is committed to robust communications and web-based events throughout the year with its young professionals and related groups.   In this regard the Committee will advise the IAF on steps it can take involve the young professional participants in the annual IAC YPP in an ongoing young professionals program dialogue through which participants can exchange information and discuss topics of mutual interest using the Federation’s web site.
