Astrodynamics Committee

The Committee shall be responsible for coverage of the various categories of astrodynamics including: satellite orbit dynamics, perturbations, and stability; earth orbital and planetary missions studies including trajectory control and on-orbit maneuvers; trajectory optimization for launchers and orbit transfer/station keeping; spacecraft attitude dynamics including determination and control; dynamics and control of large space structures and multibody structures aspects of orbit determination using specific tracking data; geodetic position determination using existing and/or proposed systems; civilian navigation and autonomous navigation systems including GPS and others; the dynamics of robots in space; guidance and control of rockets and spacecraft; reentry.

 

The Committee should cooperate with the IAF/IAA committees on Space Station, Space Exploration, Interstellar Space Exploration, Space Systems, Materials and the committee has been contracted by member of structures, Space Transportation Systems, Power, Propulsion, Education, Safety and Rescue.
